Its territory with small valleys and hills almost completely covered with Mediterranean scrub; it is dominated by the massive presence of Monte Conero which, with its cliffs, delimits the area to the south; to the north, instead, Portonovo overlooks the sea with a white stony beach with a sinuous course and that towards the west curves into the bay that gave its name to the town. On the beach, gravel and stony sections alternate, with very white and rounded limestone pebbles, considered one of the peculiarities of the town. The presence of the woods directly in contact with the beach, together with the open views towards the majestic mass of Conero, constitute a great attraction of the Marche Region.

Simply Monte Conero.

Monte Conero, beautiful and majestic every season, in winter protects us from the cold northern winds that cause disturbances, creating a mild microclimate throughout the year.
Nice to see it from the sea, as it protrudes this promontory in the Riviera, with fascinating beaches of different kinds, white stones, black stones, sand, gravel. It is easy to make a trip from the sea to see the 2 Sisters, two

I spent a whole morning photographing from a roof-garden on the 5th floor, the fabulous kite surfers in Conero Riviera. The sea was rough with strong winds from the northwest, I think Kitesurfing was ideal, they were at least 20 to flutter.
Find yourself amidst beaches, surrounded by bountiful nature and rocky mountains, and a sinuous landscape shaped by the wind and the sea. This is the Conero Riviera, one of the most beautiful maritime environments in the Marches Region. The Riviera boasts several picturesque towns, more precisely Sirolo, Numana, Marcelli, Porto Recanati and Portonovo, all of which provide accommodations with all the amenities, as well as opportuniti…

Summer is late in coming, it has not rained almost all winter, so the important thing is that it rains in May, then this summer so much will come, we are ready. That is I am ready, I can't wait to melt in the sea, feel the saltiness and continue to dive into the sea, swim, swim to the point of exhaustion, sunbathe and enjoy the beach until sunset. From here, Porto Recanati in fact, we see the Monte Conero, a promontory on the sea unique for its landscapes, and in summer it is a spectacle. Promenade Porto Recanati The Marches Italy Copyright “All rights reserved” © By itravelinitaly.com travelers from Italy Baldassarri Giuseppe Visual Storytelling.

Monte Vidon Combatte in late winter

Image
Monte Vidon Combatte at the top of an emerald green hill, between the mountains and the sea, with its red brick buildings, stands the Municipality of Monte Vidon Combatte. Inserted in an intact and harmonious natural complex, it offers splendid panoramic views (Monti Sibillini, Gran Sasso, Conero and glimpses of the Adriatic Sea), a mild climate in winter and cool in summer: it is an excellent refuge for those in search of tranquility and unspoiled natural beauty. The current town, located on the left bank of the Aso river, has an altitude of 393 meters above sea level and is surrounded by medieval walls. It has always been an observatory on the wonderful Aso Valley, one of the most beautiful and fertile in Central Italy, widely cultivated as an orchard and enchanting in the spring.

Porto Recanati seafaring tradition

Image
Porto Recanati, Province of Macerata, Italy
The central strip of the coast is characterized by beaches basically stony but also the sandy and steep sea. The area is completely flat and is located near Monte Conero. This makes it very suitable for walks along the promenade. The seafaring tradition of Porto Recanati is well documented in the Sea Museum, which is located in the complex of the former fish market. The town offers some important testimonies of its past. In the main square stands the medieval Swabian Castle, donated by Frederick II to the city, which houses on the first floor the Municipal Art Gallery "Attilio Moroni". The large courtyard is home to the arena B. Gigli, "named after the famous tenor recanatese who, during the summer season becomes the stage of a large series of musical events.

Those blue mountains

Those blue mountains. Of that distant sea, those blue mountains, which I discover from here, and which to cross one day. I thought, arcane worlds, arcana. Happiness pretending to my life! Ipse Dixit Giacomo Leopardi.
Recanati Town in Italy. Recanati is a town and comune in the Province of Macerata, in the Marche region of Italy. Recanati is an immense natural balcony, located on a typically Marche hill.

A balcony from which you can look out for kilometers, admiring on one side the distant shape of Monte Conero that dominates the Adriatic coast, or, turning your head, get lost in the splendid and characteristic Marche countryside, with sweet and harmoniously colored shapes from light-dark brown mixed with the green of trees and crops along the fields. A harmony that spreads deep and that really gives the sense of infinity to the look. And stopping on some of the railings placed on this walk around the walls gives the sensation of getting lost in this immensity and, as Leopardi wrote, d…

They say that summer is over, but today at noon on September 30th it will be 27 degrees Celsius "Fahrenheit: 80.6", the sea is calm, water temperature is 22 degreesCelsius "Fahrenheit: 71.6", it is to see that today I make a good swim in the sea.
And they call it summer, This summer without you, But they don't know that I live, Always remembering you, The scent of the sea, I don't feel it, it's gone, Why don't you come back here, Close to me. Song ByBruno Martino.
Porto Recanati, in the wonderful setting of Monte Conero, is the ideal place to spend a serene and relaxing holiday with its crystal clear waters and its beaches.

Looking north you see Monte Conero very well, 80 km away, but when you don't see it, it's trouble, in fact, this night it will rain and maybe the summer will end, so today I took the last swim of the season on my favorite bay. But good news has arrived, they will move the rocks further ahead, so the beach will be wider, and moreover, they will finally connect the Lungomare of Marina di Altidona to Marina Palmense. The pretty promenade of Porto Renacati, set in the background with the Monte Conero in the background, sheltered by the rocks in the center of the village, reminds me of the afternoons spent with my father when we were securing the sailboat inside the cliffs after a morning spent at sea.

Avenue on the sea of Porto Recanati.

Image
Porto Recanati, The Marches, Italy
A very nice long sea, when I arrived in Porto Recanati in 1978 it was not like that, the cars had access to the seafront. Then immediately after, they closed the seafront, with access only to pedestrians and bicycles, from that moment it changed everything slowly, from a simple small fishing village with a splendid view on the Monte Conero promontory, to a beautiful tourist resort. On the road they put the bricks to the ground, the houses have been renovated, even with bright but beautiful colors. Therefore, only foresight can save us from the landscape degradation perpetrated by building speculators.

Italy: the most beautiful country in the world.
Top Rated Tourist Attractions in Italy, 1 Colosseum Rome, 2 Venice Canals, 3 Pompeii, 4 Leaning Tower of Pisa, 5 Lake Como, 6 Amalfi Coast, 7 Florence Duomo Santa Maria del Fiore, 8 Cinque Terre. We are in Italy and we know that we have one of the most visited countries in the world under our feet, a unique country, rich in history, culture, natural resources, and a consolidated artisan and gastronomic tradition. Yes an open-air museum, in every corner, in every street, in every small neighborhood hides a piece of history, tradition, and culture. If you can meet the expectations of tourists they will talk about it with relatives, friends, in blogs, share photos and comments on social media, encouraging you to visit the white beaches of Salento, to take a photo in front of the imposing Colosseum, to watch the view from a high altitude refuge in the Dolomites, to be lulled in the lagoon on a gondola in Venice, to taste a plate of freshly baked lasagna in a typical Emilian inn ... But there is more but much more. The Italian Small towns and Borghi villages that tourists should see, large and small, medieval and baroque, perched on high mountains or along coasts. The most beautiful villages along with the boot - worthy of being seen at least once in a lifetime - for the kitchen, the art, the landscape, the history . From Cornello dei Tasso, in the province of Bergamo, a medieval fairytale village where time seems to stand still in Scanno, in Abruzzo, a rural paradise . Up to Marettimo, in the Egadi, a refuge in all senses . Click here for a map.

Northern Italy. The northern regions of Italy are full of spectacular mountain landscapes, while other areas, especially on the east coast, are flat at the entrance to the Adriatic Sea.

Southern Italy it is the heat of the sun and the color of the landscapes, Italy in its most ancient form, full of feeling and sensual. Down here, the ruins are older, the longest lunches and the wildest and most intense landscapes.
