Sardinia Sardegna is a large Italian island in the Mediterranean Sea. A voyage over an emerald sea, past characteristic coves, and beaches of snow-white sand … this is Sardinia, an island that strikes its visitors with natural contrasts, the lights and colors of a region that boasts old traditions and wild and pure nature. Situated in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, Sardinia is a mainly mountainous region, without high peaks, with a vast and charming, yet bittersweet, natural environment. In fact, the presence of man does not seem to affect this territory; great surfaces still preserve their natural composition, luxuriant woods with even millenary trees, small desert areas and marshes inhabited by deer, wild horses, and rapacious birds. The sea reigns over this region with its colors that migrate into the coves, along the coasts, towards the beaches and the most popular resorts. An …

Sicily is the largest of the Italian islands, separated from the Continent by the Strait of Messina and surrounded by the Ionian, the Tyrrhenian and the Mediterranean Seas. Sicily, Italy. It is one of the pearls of Southern Italy and can be discovered, understood and experienced through a series of itineraries dedicated to areas of interest ranging from nature to history and traditions. Nature seems to have endowed all its wonders to this land: mountains, hills and above all the sea, with its incredible colors, its crystal-clear water and the beauty of its seabeds, in no way inferior to those of other seas. Here, the Mediterranean Sea, with its many little islands scattered around the coasts of Sicily - The Aeolians, Egadi and Pelagie Islands, Pantelleria and Ustica - offers unique and the intense sceneries, scents, and flavors of uncontaminated nature. Last but not least, its great volcanoes are symbols of…

Campania the fascinating territory

Image
The mild climate, the beauty of the coasts, the richness of its art and history, and the love for food make Campania the fascinating territory that it is. The journey begins with the sea, the region's uncontested queen, with its intense colors, its coasts that are crawling with bays, coves, and rock faces. The waters here boast the islands in the Gulf of Naples, Capri and Ischia - true natural masterpieces. This region is made even more charming by the flourishing Mediterranean vegetation that alternates with its small, charming towns that narrate the history and traditions of Campania and make any stay here unforgettable. And how can we forget the natural endowments that dominate this region: Vesuvius, gloomy and mysterious, loved for its beauty and feared for its power. Then, Naples, famous around the world for the intensity and passion of its music, but not only, mingles high-brow culture with the popular, the sacred with the profane, and the joyful with the melancholic. Sorren…

Liguria is a multi-faceted sliver of the Peninsula, where differences weave together to create a wide array of things to do and see during a visit here. Nature, mountains, culture, entertainment, and nightlife: all one has to do is choose. The waters of this section of the Mediterranean are an enormously important feature of the region, with its characteristic rocky coasts interrupted by small coves, and beaches of fine golden sand. The Cinque Terre and the Gulf of Poets, the Gulf of Tigullio, Genoa and Paradise Gulf, the Riviera delle Palme and the Riviera dei Fiori make up the famous coast of Liguria which stretches from Ameglia to Ventimiglia, for more than 300 km (186 mi). Molise is situated in south-central Italy and lies between the Apennine ridge and the Adriatic Sea. Nature, history, art, age-old traditions, and good food are the treasures of this still largely undiscovered region. Visiting Molise, you get that Eureka feeling of discovery, starting with its mainly mountainous and hilly layout, scored by the characteristic tratturi, the historic trails of seasonal migration of people and livestock that join the pastures of Abruzzo to those of Apulia. The National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio, and Molise reveals unexpected and magnificent landscapes, while the many nature reserves protect the vegetable and animal species representative of this area. Nature un-spoiled frames the two most important ski resorts in the region: Campitello Matese and Capracotta. The coast boasts sandy beaches surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation, as year after year. Discover the thousand years of his…

The Marches is an Italian region in central Italy.

Image
The Marches is an Italian region in central Italy. Surprising and wonderful in its diversity, this region of Central Italy, with its winding yet symmetrical form, shows off its multi-faceted beauty through cliffs and caves that overlook unforgettable beaches, hills that are steeped in history, and rich traditions and cultures, all set against a backdrop of mountains (that are, by the way, well-equipped for ski lovers). The Marches are mostly comprised of hills and mountains; the region embraces the Adriatic side of the Umbria-Marche Appennines, yet in contrast features low-lying, sandy beaches. How could anyone forget the long expanse of fine golden sand that kiss crystal-clear waters at Senigallia Offering numerous lidos and pleasant seaside strolls, this area is a treat any time of day, but especially at sunset. No less lovely are Gabicce Mare, Pesaro, Fano, Civitanova Marche, Porto San Giorgio, and San Benedetto del Tronto. If you’re looking to unwind and recharge, visit one of th…

Tuscany is a region in central Italy.

Tuscany is a region in central Italy. Its landscape, artistic heritage and stand-out cities - first among them Florence - make Tuscany an unquestioned protagonist of international tourism. In this region, nature has many different facets, starting from the coast that alternates long and sandy beaches, like the Versilia beach, with rocky cliffs and steep headlands. The islands of the Tuscan Archipelago, surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation, a crystal-clear sea, and rich seabeds, are peerless. You can admire sceneries of uncontaminated nature in the Apuan Alps and in several protected areas, such as the Orbetello Lagoon, home to many species of migrant birds, including pink egrets. However, the most typical sceneries of the region are those that merge the beauty of nature with the millenary work of man. The amazing Gulf of Baratti and the sites of Vetulonia, Vulci, and Pitigliano guard necropolis and vestiges of the Etruscan civilization, while Roselle and Cosa evoke…

The stone pine memories of Porto San GiorgioVia Girolamo Bonaparte, 63822 Porto San Giorgio FM, Italy. Armed with a rudimentary sling, we left as a group of 4 or 5 kids, they started hunting for the largest pine cones set in these gigantic pines. Most of the time the pinecone fell on our heads, but it was worth it because we enjoyed the pine nuts there. From the hills between Fermo and Porto San Giorgio that slope down to the sea, it stands in the landscape The stone pine. The stone pine, botanical name Pinus pinea, also known as the Italian stone pine, umbrella pine, and parasol pine, is a tree from the pine family. The tree is native to the Mediterranean region.

The association's astronomical observatory is located on Monte Serrone, a sandstone hill of modest elevation (100 m. S.l.m.) a few kilometers from Pedaso, in a protected floristic area, typical of the Mediterranean maquis. It can be reached by following the panoramic municipal road that climbs from Pedaso towards Campofilone, once you exit the tollbooth for A 14 in Pedaso. The dome, two meters in diameter, was made of aluminum and is ideal for hosting medium-power instruments. The building is supplied with electricity by means of a solar panel, in order to use clean and low-cost energy; moreover, at night, it is possible to suffuse the lights, in order to provide light to the visitors, not disturbing the observations. The observatory has three …

When I have to make an impression, I admit to having taken advantage of the fact that I live near the bay, and in any season, cold or hot, at night or during the day, from the sea by boat or by motorbike, I have always managed to amaze. Part of the Conero Park. Its territory with small valleys and hills almost completely covered with Mediterranean scrub; it is dominated by the massive presence of Monte Conero which, with its cliffs, delimits the area to the south; to the north, instead, Portonovo overlooks the sea with a white stony beach with a sinuous course and that towards the west curves into the bay that gave its name to the town. On the beach, gravel and st…
