San Giovanni Battista Church Grottammare, Piazza Peretti, 63066 Grottammare AP, Marches, Italy.  The church has a sober and rigorous facade, both for its architectural style and for its construction material. The faΓ§ade is concluded by a triangular tympanum and presents the traditional band order, highlighted by a molded frame and slightly projecting pilasters that climb up to the pediment and that divide the facade into three parts. The church houses the Sistino Museum of Grottammare, one of the sites of the network of the Sistini Museums of the Piceno. Walking along the seafront to Grottammare for me is always a pleasure, in summer or winter in any season, so long ago I just wanted to live there. Grottammare Palm Tree Coast together with the municipalities of San Benedetto del Tronto and Cupra Marittima constitutes the Riviera Delle Palme, which for years has boasted the EU blue label. The Lungomare is, therefore, the pride of the town which boasts a long promenade bordered on the right by large palm trees and on the left by the beach of fine white sand. In short, a real little corner of paradise. It is one of the points of the summer nightlife of the town and today there is no shortage of bars, restaurants, and bars to spend the evening. In summer, musical events and festivals…

Via Ischia, 155, 60026, Grottammare, AP, Italy Each point of the earth's surface passes a single parallel, used in geography to establish the position of a given location through the so-called latitude. Being in the precise point where a parallel passes, therefore, means being "tied" by an invisible thread to all the other places that are in the same condition. And from Vladivostok to Milwaukee, from Grottammare to Sapporo, the 43rd Parallel of the northern hemisphere passes. Much more than simple geographical curiosity, so much so that in Grottammare (in the province of Ascoli Piceno) on the Adriatic coast, they decided to identify the precise point where the 43rd Parallel crosses the territory. What binds Komiza to each other on …

Sea poetry by Giovanni Pascoli. I look out the window and see the sea: the stars go, the waves flicker. I see stars passing, in order to pass: a flicker calls, a heartbeat responds. Here the water sighs, the wind blows: a beautiful silver bridge has appeared on the sea. Bridge thrown on serene lakes, for whom then are you made and where do you go?

Church of Sant 'Agostino, Grottammare Borgo, Via S. Agostino, 32, 63066 Grottammare, Province of Ascoli Piceno, Italy The bell tower remembers the rest that Martin Luther made there. An interesting artistic discovery was recently made in this church. To the right of those entering the church, there is a heavy eighteenth-century scagliola cornice, which encloses an altarpiece depicting the Virgin and two saints. On the wall behind it appears a fresco that dates back to the sixteenth century.

Gate of the Castle in Grottammare, Via del Castello, 63066 Grottammare, AP, Italy. The square tower, on the other hand, is rather interesting because it looks like the classic fourteenth-century tower open at the back and reveals a cross-section of the floors where it was fought and those without openings where stocks were stored; surprising to observe how the small part of the wall remained anchored to the tower defies gravity. The walls continue beyond the road going down towards the so-called gate of the Castle. The best-preserved structures are those of the western curtain where there is a pentagonal tower, called strut, from which a section of the thick wall of the fortress originates. The tower is walled on all sides and cannot be visited inside. In the following wall section you can see the headquar…
