The Adriatic Sea, my sea, I am in Porto San Giorgio, a seaside village overlooking the Adriatic Sea, here I learned to swim and fish with my father to sail, here every summer from sunrise to sunset, when I can, I am swimming, I am always informed how much wave there is that temperature at the water. When I can't swim, I stroll along the promenade accompanied by the echoes of the waves on the shore and by the taste of salt air, when I'm not here, my thoughts turn to My Adriatic Sea.

Lapedona blue and green

Image
Like all the villages of Fermano, Lapedona is also close to the sea, 10 km away from the Adriatic Sea, the village is surrounded by a hill, still preserves the old walls and has 360 degree views, you can see the sea, you can see the neighboring villages and the Monti Sibilini can be seen. Lapedona is among the hilly ridges between the altidona, Moresco and Monterubbiano and precisely Lapedona and Torre di Palme. Lapedona is a medieval hilltop town, located in an area inhabited since ancient times. Through the ancient port Marina, perfectly preserved, with a pointed arch decorated with Ghibelline merlons, you enter the historic center. Under the portico of the sixteenth-century town hall, embellished with different arches, there is a funerary stone from the Roman era, on which there are inscriptions and bas-reliefs. The church of San Nicolò is decorated with a beautiful wooden ceiling and exhibits a painting by Simone de Magistris on the main altar. A neoclassical portal leads into th…

Also known as "Le Puglie" in the plural form, this region contains, in fact, many souls. The “heel of Italy's boot," Apulia is a charming region that can be visited all year round and is suspended among nature, history, tradition, tastes, and spirituality. Apulia, the spur of the Italian Boot, is an enchanting region that spreads lengthwise along the sea - marvelous beaches that will delight every traveler, from the sandy Torre dell' Orso and Porto Cesario to the rocky, boulder-encrusted Riviera of Otranto and Santa Maria di Leuca. At Santa Maria di Leuca the calm and crystalline waters of the Ionian Sea mix with those of the intense and azure Adriatic. Sea lovers have multiple options in Apulia, from Gallipoli, the “Gem of Salento,” to Gargano, “Italy's Buttress,” which protrudes out into the clear sea, where one finds the beautiful Tremiti Islands. Nature is t…

Abruzzo or Abruzzi is a region of Southern Italy, Its Capital Pescara

Image
Abruzzo or Abruzzi is a region of Southern Italy. Abruzzo is located in central Italy and stretches from the heart of the Apennines to the Adriatic Sea, on mostly mountainous and wild terrain. In the mountains, tourist resorts and well-equipped facilities for skiing and winter sports rise among unpolluted peaks and rocky walls: among them are Pescasseroli, Rivisondoli, and Roccaraso. The natural landscape of the high and steep peaks of the Gran Sasso, Laga Mountains, and Mount Majella slopes down to a wide range of hills until it finally reaches the Adriatic coast. The route that spans from the Gran Sasso down to the sea crosses territories that are rich in history, traditions, and art that never cease to surprise visitors. Narrow valleys and impressive, natural paths thrust their way into the mountains and hills, as does the amazing and fascinating Aterno Valley, crawling with ancient villages. Natural reserves, like the National Park of Abruzzo, the Park of Gran Sasso and the Laga M…

Emilia-Romagna is a region in central Italy. Its capital, Bologna. Emilia Romagna lies between the River Po to its north and the Apennine Mountains (to its south). It is one of the most fertile and productive regions of Italy, thanks to the mitigating effect that the Adriatic Sea has on the coastal climate. Fermo - Torre di Palme, The suggestive center of Torre di Palme is a fantastic panoramic balcony on the top of a hill overlooking the coast and the Adriatic sea. The village belongs to the circle of Fermani castles subdivided, depending on their location, into marine, middle and mountain: the marine ones rise on the top of the hills and generally have an ellipsoid urban structure (with east-west axis) surrounded by walls that they open with "da Sole" or "da Bora" doors.  Torre di Palme stands out for the preservation of its environment and for the stylistic uniformity of medieval and Renaissance buildings, elements that make it, despite its small size, one of the most interesting historical centers …

The Adriatic caressed by the cold east wind in late April, colors the sea of shades of blue-gray or deep green, clouds like cotton candy create incomprehensible shapes, water predominates by changing the landscape, and seagulls triumph over flying hair of broken waves in the cliff.

The rocky beach of the Passetto is part of the territory of theParco del Conero; it is located below the cliff and is accessible thanks to a large and long white staircase that descends to the shore of the Adriatic Sea. With the summer season, it is the custom of many people from Ancona to sunbathe on the wide panoramic edges of this staircase, which in the central and final part is divided into two symmetrical ramps. The beach can also be reached thanks to a panoramic lift, or by walking down the narrow streets, a local…
