Lapedona between the blue of the Adriatic sea and the green of the rolling hills of Fermo in the Marche region.Porta Marina epoch: XIII - XV - terracotta doors, In reality it is a counter door built a few meters from the real entrance to the village, on the access ramp, which was mainly used to dampen the heat of the besieging charges. Of the original, demolished in the early 1900s, only the terracotta decoration of the arch installed above the current archway remains. With a pleasant scenic impact, it leans against the remains of the eastern civic walls and the battlements are added in recent times. A loophole completes the defense of the structure…

The facade overlooking Piazza Amedeo Lattanzi, dating back to the seventeenth century, is built of bricks and stones. Without decorations, it has a portal and a rose window. Stupendous is the robust and thirteenth-century bell tower, original and decorated with pointed arches. Through the four large single lancet windows, you can see the trusses of the roof built in the restoration of the eighteenth century after the collapse of the cusp, which occurred following a lightning strike. To the right of the building, th…

Summer, soon I'll dive into the seafoam.

Image
Marine foam. Endless ribbons of seafoam twist along the shore left by the waves, waves have drawn into the sea. Many waves, their numbers will never be known. With a walk, I trace their path on the edge of the water. Even if the path I have traveled leads nowhere, it still gives me direction. My body follows my eyes, my eyes follow the foam, the infinite twisted foam. Reassuring, frightening, peaceful, stormy, disturbing, dark, romantic. The sea, for each of us, can represent many things, remember many moments, arouse many sensations. There are those who fear it, those who love to look at it, those who approach it timidly, those who cannot stay away from it. And you, what relationship do you have with the sea?

The Messenger of Nature –

Image
The stop of time. Sometimes it has happened to everyone to feel as if out of time, absent for a moment from the world and from themselves. A condition not only physical but, also and above all, metaphysics. Everything we know, see, hear, believe we know, see and hear no longer exists.

Still Morning It appears now that there is only one age and it knows nothing of age as the flying birds know nothing of the air they are flying through or of the day that bears them up through themselves and I am a child before there are words arms are holding me up in a shadow voices murmur in a shadow as I watch one patch of sunlight moving across the green carpet in a building gone long ago and all the voices silent and each word they said in that time silent now while I go on seeing that patch of sunlight. Still Morning" by W.S. Merwin, from Collected Poems: 1996-2011. © Library of America, 2013. The last day of the world I would like to plant a tree

Seaside –

Image
Midday on the still and warm sea:
she accepts me without shouting: a silence and a smile.
Latin spirit, Antiquity, a veil of modesty on the tortured cry!
Latin life that knows its limits,
reassuring past, oh! Mediterranean!
Silent voices still triumph on your banks,
who say yes because they denied you!
Huge and light,
assure and satisfy and murmur the eternity of your minutes,
Oh! Mediterranean! And the miracle of your story,
you enclose it all
in the explosion of your smile.

From the Mediterranean by Albert Camus

Northern Italy. The northern regions of Italy are full of spectacular mountain landscapes, while other areas, especially on the east coast, are flat at the entrance to the Adriatic Sea.

Central Italy Venerated vineyards, medieval cities on top of the hill and works of art praised by UNESCO: this journey embraces suggestive landscapes and villages.

Southern Italy it is the heat of the sun and the color of the landscapes, Italy in its most ancient form, full of feeling and sensual. Down here, the ruins are older, the longest lunches and the wildest and most intense landscapes.
