Of the original, demolished in the early 1900s, only the terracotta decoration of the arch installed above the current archway remains. With a pleasant scenic impact, it leans against the remains of the eastern civic walls and the battlements are added in recent times. A loophole completes the defense of the structure…

Italy: the most beautiful country in the world. We are in Italy and we know that we have one of the most visited countries in the world under our feet, a unique country, rich in history, culture, natural resources, and a consolidated artisan and gastronomic tradition. Yes an open-air museum, in every corner, in every street, in every small neighborhood hides a piece of history, tradition, and culture. If you can meet the expectations of tourists they will talk about it with relatives, friends, in blogs, share photos and comments on social media, encouraging you to visit the white beaches of Salento, to take a photo in front of the imposing Colosseum, to watch the view from a high altitude refuge in the Dolomites, to be lulled in the lagoon on a gondola in Venice, to taste a plate of freshly baked lasagna in a typical Emilian inn ... Summer, soon I'll dive into the seafoam.

Image
Marine foam. Endless ribbons of seafoam twist along the shore left by the waves, waves have drawn into the sea. Many waves, their numbers will never be known. With a walk, I trace their path on the edge of the water. Even if the path I have traveled leads nowhere, it still gives me direction. My body follows my eyes, my eyes follow the foam, the infinite twisted foam. Reassuring, frightening, peaceful, stormy, disturbing, dark, romantic. The sea, for each of us, can represent many things, remember many moments, arouse many sensations. There are those who fear it, those who love to look at it, those who approach it timidly, those who cannot stay away from it. And you, what relationship do you have with the sea?

POETRY ON THE WALLS OF POMPEII

Image
POETRY ON THE WALLS OF POMPEII; If the refinement of a people or, in a broad sense, of its civilization is also measured by her poetic sensibility, Pompeii found paradoxically in the misfortune that on her the privilege of preserving imperishable memory of the spiritual richness of his people and, in particular, of those "street artists" who then as today were destined, often undeservedly, to be forgotten. Taormina: The Ancient theater

Image
Taormina in addition to being a place, a landscape that inspired art, poetry, and fantasy. Taormina is a wonderful picture.
The Sicilian places are, as Pindar would have said, "a pillar of the sky", they are the places that hold heaven, earth, and sea. The whole eastern coast of Sicily seems to have stood still for an eternal spring, its panorama says it, the charm of nature that allows itself to be admired in all its wonder. Eliot wrote: "in Taormina, it is as bright as the snow on the top of Etna".

Seaside –

Image
Midday on the still and warm sea:
she accepts me without shouting: a silence and a smile.
Latin spirit, Antiquity, a veil of modesty on the tortured cry!
Latin life that knows its limits,
reassuring past, oh! Mediterranean!
Silent voices still triumph on your banks,
who say yes because they denied you!
Huge and light,
assure and satisfy and murmur the eternity of your minutes,
Oh! Mediterranean! And the miracle of your story,
you enclose it all
in the explosion of your smile.

From the Mediterranean by Albert Camus

Marina di Altidona, Province of Fermo, Marches, Italy. Summer by the sea Feel like rowing Bathing offshore To see the sun-umbrellas from afar Summer by the sea Seaside style With the life jacket For fear of drowning Above the bridges of the highways There is someone standing there who greets us Feel this skin as it is scented It reminds me of Tahitian oil Evenings when it was cold Car tires burned This summer I want to have fun for the holidays. Porto San Giorgio Copyright “All rights reserved” © By itravelinitaly.com travelers from Italy Photo by Baldassarri Giuseppe visual storytelling.  My hometown, the Adriatic sea, the sea breeze that slips on you during the hottest days, the very fine sand burning under your feet, up to the shoreline and the pleasure of walking in the water, until the water reaches the chest, at that point with the scorching sun and the reverberation in the waves, you are invited to dive for a swim, it seems to melt in the water, becoming one with the pastel drawing. So you are a Sangiorgerese.
