Above the quiet dock

Image
Above the Dock by T. E. Hulme
Above the quiet dock in the midnight,
Tangled in the tall mast's corded height,
Hangs the moon. What seemed so far away
It is but a child's balloon, forgotten after play.

Window on the village –

Image
Windows are the eyes of our houses,
life flows beyond the glass, the color of the sky changes
the sun enters, the air, the noises, we see who passes and who arrives, we meditate waiting for the moon ...

The window
The red rose slowly slips,
for an interminable instant, it is air,
then he rocks on his body,
dyeing it with its bright color.
The hand that left it is now resting on the glass,
streaked by rain and gaze,
under the forehead resting the tears, of love that cannot exist.
A short excerpt of poetry by De Bernardi Pompeo

The mallard. –

Image
In the wild, the mallard has mainly crepuscular habits, preferring to spend the central hours of the day hidden in wet sheltered locations and with thick vegetation.

A flight of wild ducks
Wave after wave
gift receiving

clear transparencies

while
I strip myself of my dark bodies

You
with delicate light, you cover my heart with joyful hands

that sea is formed in us Love longed for

in heavens
crystal

your eyes

from Your kissed

our germane souls increasingly free in real wings fly from Sun to Sun from Victory to Victory,

Peretti Square in Grottammare Alta Borgo –

Image
Photo was taken at Piazza Peretti in Grottammare Alta, the medieval village
It develops around Piazza Peretti which overlooks the church of San Giovanni Battista, the Palazzo Priorale, the Altana dell'Orologio, the Teatro dell'Arancio (XVIII century), the elegant loggia and the splendid belvedere. Not far away is the seventeenth-century church of Santa Lucia attributed to the architect Fontana and commissioned by Sixtus V. In the walk along the walls you can visit the restored Torrione della Battaglia (16th century), which houses the Torrione della Battaglia Museum inside, a large collection of works by the sculptor Pericle Fazzini. The Messenger of Nature –

Image
The stop of time. Sometimes it has happened to everyone to feel as if out of time, absent for a moment from the world and from themselves. A condition not only physical but, also and above all, metaphysics. Everything we know, see, hear, believe we know, see and hear no longer exists.

Still Morning It appears now that there is only one age and it knows nothing of age as the flying birds know nothing of the air they are flying through or of the day that bears them up through themselves and I am a child before there are words arms are holding me up in a shadow voices murmur in a shadow as I watch one patch of sunlight moving across the green carpet in a building gone long ago and all the voices silent and each word they said in that time silent now while I go on seeing that patch of sunlight. Still Morning" by W.S. Merwin, from Collected Poems: 1996-2011. © Library of America, 2013. The last day of the world I would like to plant a tree

Via Alfieri in Campofilone –

Image
The village, tapered in shape, stands along a main street in which the main buildings overlook, behind which there is a labyrinth of alleys, sometimes covered by barrel vaults and cross vaults and which, from time to time, reveal beauty of the panorama that surrounds it: the calm Adriatic Sea, the gentle hills up to the whitewashed peaks of the Sibillini mountains.

Civic Tower of Petritoli –

Image
The tower consists of five different bases: square, rectangular, octagonal, circular and spherical.
the five represents the human microcosm, it is man's desire to draw close to God.
The square indicates the man anchored to the earth and encourages him to stop to reflect.
The rectangle expresses the desire to establish a relationship between Earth and Heaven.
The octagon is a symbol of resurrection, it is the mediation between Earth and Heaven.
The dome represents the celestial vault.
The sphere is perfection but placed on the circle which in turn rests on an octagonal base, represents the Incarnation of the divine and human nature of the One who will act as a bridge to bring us closer to the great architect, that is God.

Medieval village –

Image
Wandering around Altidona, the small medieval village, perched on a hill, the village seems to have been founded by the Piceni people, at the time of the Punic Wars, as evidenced by Roman remains, especially villae, with sea views, such as that of Barbula, well-known palmense wine producer. In the twelfth century. the scattered settlements are abandoned and the inhabitants create a new castle around the parish church of Santa Maria and San Ciriaco, transferred to the hill of the current town. Its history was then closely linked to that of Fermo.

Even today it is possible to admire the walls that enclose the medieval town.
Certainly deserve a visit to the church of Santa Maria and San Ciriaco, which houses a table, attributed to Vincenzo Pagani, depicting a Madonna and Child, two saints and donor.

Aso river in winter ☀ –

Image
Aso river in winter The source of the river Aso originates from Monte Porche, which crosses the provinces of Ascoli Piceno and Fermo from west to east, towards the mountains, practically marking the border between them. Mount Sibilla is a mountainous relief that owes its aura of mystery to the legend of the Sibyl, a mythological figure who inhabited the cave of the same name, a cave that opens into a rocky passage near the top located at 2173 meters.

Venetian Gothic architecture –

Image
Petritoli Venetian Gothic architecture Photo and Copyright By Baldassarri Giuseppe Travel is the traveler in Italy itravelinitaly.com
Venetian Gothic architecture. Gothic architecture in Venice emerged rather late, only towards the fifteenth century, in fact, the city detaches itself from the eastern influence and suffers from the western cultural climate, so elements of late Gothic are introduced into art in general and in particular in architecture, known in Italy as "flowery" Gothic.
This adjective alludes to the refinement and elegance of that style, which is characterized by spectacular fretwork decorations and a wealth of statues and marbles. Elements of flowery Gothic are also present in the Basilica of San Marco, such as the decoration of the inflected arches of the upper order of the facade and this represents a significant example of how Gothic elements can be grafted very well on a Byzantine substrate. The Basilica of San Marco, whose structure dates back to the el…

Villa Ricci in Pedaso

Image
Pedaso Villa Ricci Photo and Copyright By Baldassarri Giuseppe Travel is the traveler in Italy itravelinitaly.comVilla Ricci in Pedaso The environment is very suggestive as is its history, which begins in the second half of the eighteenth century when part of the structure was built. Essential from an architectural point of view, also because it is used as a collection and transit point for citrus fruits which, coming from Sicily, were then directed to Austria and Germany. Subsequently, in the nineteenth century, the building was transformed into a Villa, with the addition of the upper floors.

Pedaso lighthouse

Image
Pedaso lighthouse Photo and Copyright By Baldassarri Giuseppe Travel is the traveler in Italy itravelinitaly.comPedaso lighthouse The lighthouse dominates the coast, between gorse and natural vegetation, it rises from the coast on Monte Serrone, to see if you just have to take the scenic road above the "old" Pedaso and even here you will be entranced by the panorama where the green merges with the blue of the horizon right before your eyes. In summer you can take historical-naturalistic routes that from the lighthouse lead to the belvedere and right from the top you can admire the sea, the horizon and grasp the peculiarities of the territory until you get to know one by one the rocks with the most bizarre names given by old fishermen.

The light of the clouds with a colorful winter sea. I like the winter sea. He puts the waves in it, I put my thoughts into it. Lie on the sand of the winter sea, open your hands to the sun and let your identity evaporate. The sea in winter has magic that summer will never understand. I like the winter sea because it is for a few. There are parts of me that exist only when the wind blows from the west and the sea is stormy and the clouds flow fast in a sky full of wonder and strange colors.

Color tilt, Yellow yolk, and blue, chalk and gray paint.
Distant horizons on a Sunday morning form an intense blue.

The beautiful seaside village of Pedaso, in the province of Fermo, in the Marche region. Small, but very characteristic, with its lighthouse and the beautiful promenade called 'of the 20th century songwriters'.
