The blue lake is colored by a romantic Autumn. What could be more romantic than the lake in the fall? When its banks are colored with the warm hues of the foliage and in the sparkling air you hear only the chirping of birds and the rustling of dry leaves that spread like a carpet colored yellow, red and orange.

Altidona at the lake A beautiful sunset, the calm waters of the lake, the only pleasant chatter of animals, ducks, trouts and carp that emerge to gasp, the sound of footsteps in the grass, all these taking pictures continuously, this I do in a beautiful afternoon in Altidona, surrounded by nature. And what's better.

Via Girolamo Bonaparte, 63822, Porto San Giorgio, FM, Fermano, Marches, Italy.
Why is it called Villa Bonaparte? The original name was Villa Caterina, from Caterina di Wurtemberg, consort of Girolamo Buonaparte who had it built. Jerome, "former king of Westphalia, who, after the battle of Waterloo, took the supreme command of the French army, with whom he gloriously fought in that memorable and unfortunate battle, which finally ended the wonderful fortune of the great emperor", chose Porto San Giorgio, then Porto di Fermo, to let you build a sumptuous villa. The motive that drives Girolamo to have a dwelling in the Fermo area is essentially dictated by the heart; in fact, he fell in love with the marquise Anna Azzolino, "who …

Castel San Giorgio, Corso Castel S. Giorgio, 63822, Porto San Giorgio, Province of Fermo, Fermano, FM, Marches, Italy. The origins of the current inhabited center seem to date back to the 11th century, when Venetian or Dalmatian fishermen settled on the hill, a natural defense. Castel San Giorgio, from the name of the fortress that dominated it, in the mid-13th century an alliance was established between Venice and Fermo, which favored the development of commercial traffic headed by Castel San Giorgio. In 1267 the mayor of Fermo and the future Doge of Venice Lorenzo Tiepolo transformed the port into an equipped and military port of call; he also built a fortress, which he would take the name, to watch over the Saracen incu…

Capodarco is one of the four districts of Fermo, the story says that already in 1100 there was a fortress built at the height of Monte Secco: from some documents it appears the Castrum Montis Sicchi, with its general council that was summoned to Fermo on occasions of great strategies that governed the city. In the territory, there was also a strong religious presence, so much so that the owners of the area made a donation of land for the construction of a building for the care of the spirit entrusted to the Franciscan Friars. The religious place was appreciated by the nobility of Fermo: it was said that …… .. “not far from Fe…

The Sibillini Mountains and the middle region.

Image
Sibillini Mountains, 63088 Montemonaco, Province of Ascoli Piceno and Fermo, Italy The Sibillini Mountains. From the balcony of my house, I took this photo, without filters, the Sibillini mountains are about 70 km away, yet they look as good as this sunset. The Sibillini Mountains are so fascinating at only 70 Km from the Adriatic coast, they are rich in history and beauty, I have this fortune to always admire them, sometimes they scream, sometimes they change color, they often blow a cold womb which in winter freezes you, but d summer is a pleasure to hear it coming. This is my land between the sea and the mountains, in the midst of enchanting valleys and small villages nestled in the hills.
