It was then inhabited by the Pelasgians, an ancient Greek people, and then by the Piceni. In 485 BC the Romans arrived. Altidona belonged to Fermo, to the Abbey of Farfa in Sabina, then again to Fermo.

The Italian garden

Image
@itravelinitaly_com #italy The Italian garden https://posts.gle/coh92 Valdaso: a territory of excellence called "The Garden of the Marches". The Aso Valley is a magnificent area interspersed with historic glimpses of medieval villages and the Sibillini Mountains, covered with snow even in spring, which form the backdrop to a landscape of enchanting colors with farmhouses, woods, orchards in bloom, vineyards, vegetable gardens and  lush fields. A territory whose inhabitants have managed to preserve the specificities both in cultural and natural terms: places, traditions, eno-gastronomic products, festivals and folkloristic festivals. It develops in the southern part of the Marche for a length of about 70 km and is characterized by the sea, rolling hills and the Sibillini, following the course of the Aso river, which rises between Monte Porche and Cima della Prata and flows into the Adriatic Sea. This heterogeneous valley is made up of several municipalities with ancient hist

Lake reflects

Image
Lake reflects https://posts.gle/bJ16s @itravelinitaly_com #italy The beauty of a lake reflects the beauty around it.  When the mind is still, the beauty of the Self is seen reflected in it. You see them there, on the banks of a river and a lake, or perched on a rock, by the sea.  The gaze fixed on the line, the rod in hand: there are one and a half million fishing enthusiasts.  The braggart of record catches and the eager to put the prey in the pan are decreasing.  Thousands of people remain united by the search for a moment of relaxation and contact with water. itravelinitaly.com  would like to receive your feedback.  Share and Post a review on our profile.

MARGOT Female dog hunting

Image
MARGOT Female dog hunting https://posts.gle/2dNBm @itravelinitaly_com The cold temperatures of the northern regions push different types of ducks to migrate south and this is how the stretches of water of milder locations are populated every year by many types of ducks including Germans and Teals. These are two species of surface ducks morphologically different from each other but very similar in habits and above all in the environments they are used to research.  They both prefer shallow, clean waters rich in reeds or other natural shelters where they can hide and look for food;  rivers are also a suitable place for daytime refreshment, especially if their bed is located on a depression in the ground and is affected by quiet bends where the current is absent. itravelinitaly.com  would like to receive your feedback.  Share and Post a review on our profile.

Discovering the Italian coastal lakes

Image
@itravelinitaly_com The low and sandy coasts near the mouths of rivers are the areas where coastal lakes and brackish ponds can originate.  The streams in fact carry materials continuously but the force of the sea counteracts their dispersion, the sediments are deposited creating long tongues of sand and mud parallel to the coast.  These shorelines generate lagoons, coastal lakes or ponds. itravelinitaly.com  would like to receive your feedback.  Share and Post a review on our profile.

Marina di Altidona Beach in safety

The Marche is the only region declined in the plural of Italy: the local beaches on the Adriatic coast are all beautiful and inviting, but they maintain a certain difference between them as if to underline the plurality of the name of the area that hosts them.  Each lido in the Marche is unique and at the same time perfectly integrated into the surrounding environment. Phrases about the sunset by famous authors

Image
At that time, I was looking for sunsets, suburbs and unhappiness;  now I look for the mornings, the center and serenity.  (Jorge Luis Borges)  What are you looking for, poet, in the sunset?  (Antonio Machado)  It is impossible to explain human preferences.  Although built with absolutely identical materials, and both beautiful (no one can say which of the two is more beautiful), the setting sun has always had, and has, more public than the one that rises.  (Millôr Fernandes)  Men close their doors against the setting sun.  (William Shakespeare)  I have a horror of sunsets, it's romantic, it makes a lot of melodrama.  (Marcel Proust)  I have reached the highest point of my greatness, and from the height of my glory, I hasten to set.  (William Shakespeare)  The colors of the day slowly melted into gray and the peaks of distant mountains became confused silhouettes of crouching giants.  (Khaled Hosseini)  Young people have a short memory, and have the eyes to look only to

Reflected

Image
A sunset on the hill by Gianfranco Aurilio I ran after the sun along the river, where the flowers are reflected in the morning wetting the petals in water colored with light, unfolding the stems to the wind, like sails on the sea. I ran after him among blades of grass that touch the sky, between voices and perfumes of green meadows in spring. Under the branches of lime trees over hidden dens beside prickly brambles inside you were hidden beyond the pond behind the bridge near frightened foxes away from curious hawks I ran after the sun without stopping to see it disappear slowly before me on the hill.

The breath of the sea.

Image
The breath of the sea  Peace on those rocks,  the tormented flight  of a thousand seagulls.  Primitive dismay  of the immense,  the instinct for freedom  rediscovered virgin  they overwhelmed nostalgia and hopes.  A fisherman broke the silence.  He explained to me that the conch  she sings because she is alive,  and the sea that she has lost weeps.  Then he went back to her grimace.  I to listen  the breath of the sea.

The Wave

Image
The wave of Gabriele D'Annunzio In the quiet cove spark, scale intesto like the ancient lorica of the cataphract, the sea. It seems to fade. Silver?  gets dark? Suddenly as a blow to unravel the weapon, the strength the wind affects it. It doesn't last. The sluggish wave is born, immediately falls flat. The wind picks up. Another wave is born, gets lost, like a lamb that grazes pel green: a bow of foam that leaps! But the wind comes back, reinforces, redounds. Another wave rises, in his birth more lene what a virginal belly! Palpitates, salt, swells, bends, alums, inclines. The broad back shines like crystal; the light top gets ruffled as a mane horse nivea. The wind undermines it. The wave breaks, falls into the cable of the sound sulcus; it froths, it whitens blossoms, smells, overwhelms the heart, it draws the seaweed and the olive; stretches, rolls, gallops; hitch

You walk on a beach like this and you find many stones.

Image
And then you remember, you remember that you too once sat there and the hours passed so happy and time was not time.  It is the magic of childhood, you can stay there for an entire afternoon without realizing that you are burning your back.  And it happens, you are on a beach, looking for that timeless time.  And you walk.  And then you find them, many stones.  Of different sizes, with different shades, some are small and gray, others brown.  And you understand that someone passed on that beach before you, perhaps a child.  Only stones.  And fantasy and dream and imagination.  Sometimes you walk on a beach like this and you find lots of stones.

The stormy sea beyond the horizon

Image
The sea is the mind of the sky, cherubs are the eyes of the sea, the ethereal does not think acts and only the fluid sense of water assigns invisible neurons to the power of the stone forges. Dusky silent, cheerful turquoise, combines with rapid electric discharges majestic and deep thoughts furrowed by ships laden with phantom destinies where only in the sparkling forests of water can their occupants finally be at home. The sea is the mind of the sky, cherubs are the eyes of the sea ... every branch born on this earth is the result of the dream of a wave that has now disappeared. POEM BY Raniero Cappelli

Altidona

Image
Altidona belonged to Fermo, to the Abbey of Farfa in Sabina, then again to Fermo.  Initially the castle of S. Biagio in Barbolano was built which sank into the sea in the early Middle Ages or perhaps was demolished by the Altidonesi.  After the twelfth century, the inhabitants of the city of Altidona gave life to a new castle around the parish of Santa Maria and San Ciriaco, which was built on the hill of the present city.  In 1507 it is under the influence of Fermo as a second class castle.  The medieval walls of the castle are well preserved.  Also worth seeing are the Belvedere, a medieval watchtower overlooking the Aso Valley, and the table, attributed to Vincenzo Pagani, depicting the Madonna and Child, two saints and donor preserved in the parish church.  Villa Montana and the Roman cistern are located in the ancient district of Barbolano.

SMOOTH HILLS

Image
Italy is a land full of wonders and places to be discovered.  Tourists from all over the world come to visit the villages of the country to discover characteristic streets and alleys that offer unique views in the world, characterized by small and narrow picturesque, cobbled and stone streets that often climb towards hills and panoramic places that overlook  on breathtaking views.  Getting lost in the alleys and streets of Italian villages is one of the best ways to get to know local villages and popular traditions among typical restaurants, trattorias and workshops of artisans and artists. @giuseppebaldassarri @itravelinitaly_com
