Piedmont, a region of Italy bordering France and Switzerland, sits at the foot of the Alps. It’s known for sophisticated cuisine and wines such as Barolo. Turin, the capital, has abundant baroque architecture and the monumental landmark Mole Antonelliana, with its soaring spire. The Automobile Museum is devoted to Turin’s main industry. The Egyptian Museum displays archaeological and anthropological collections. Piedmont is the land of the mountains: it is surrounded on three sides by the Alpine chain, which right here includes the highest peaks and the largest glaciers in Italy. Monviso, the Piedmont side of Monte Rosa and the other spectacular hills offer landscapes of singular beauty; There are also numerous ski areas, including the Milky Way and Sestriere, which welcome winter sports enthusiasts with their modern equipment. Against the backdrop of the Alps, there are large and picturesque valleys, including the Val di Susa, Valsesia and Val d'Ossola. The panorama of the Langhe and Monferrato is very different but equally characteristic: a succession of hills cultivated with vineyards, dotted with villages and castles. Stretches of water and rice fields, long rows of poplars and ancient farmhouses are the typical scenarios of the plains that extend into the Novara and Vercelli areas. The tourist destination par excellence is Lake Maggiore, with Stresa and the Borromean islands, enchanting landscapes that host ancient villas surrounded by English-style parks. But nature is only one of the many attractions of Piedmont. Many others are the faces of the region: from Turin - the Italian capital of the car - with its history and its remarkable artistic heritage to the other cities, to the various historical centers including Cherasco, Alba and Ivrea. And then, the evocative medieval castles among which the imposing castle of Ivrea stands out, the precious architectures, including the famous Savoy Residences and the Sacri Monti. Acqui Terme and Vinadio, historic spas, ensure treatments and treatments for a stay of well-being and relaxation. Discoveries and surprises of all kinds await visitors, including a vast food and wine offer, able to satisfy all tastes. The provinces are: Turin (chief town), Alessandria, Asti, Biella, Cuneo, Novara, Verbano Cusio Ossola, Vercelli.

Italy: the most beautiful country in the world.
Italy: the most beautiful country in the world. We are in Italy and we know that we have one of the most visited countries in the world under our feet, a unique country, rich in history, culture, natural resources, and a consolidated artisan and gastronomic tradition. Yes an open-air museum, in every corner, in every street, in every small neighborhood hides a piece of history, tradition, and culture. If you can meet the expectations of tourists they will talk about it with relatives, friends, in blogs, share photos and comments on social media, encouraging you to visit the white beaches of Salento, to take a photo in front of the imposing Colosseum, to watch the view from a high altitude refuge in the Dolomites, to be lulled in the lagoon on a gondola in Venice, to taste a plate of freshly baked lasagna in a typical Emilian inn ... But there is more but much more. The Italian Small towns and Borghi villages that tourists should see, large and small, medieval and baroque, perched on high mountains or along coasts. The most beautiful villages along with the boot - worthy of being seen at least once in a lifetime - for the kitchen, the art, the landscape, the history . From Cornello dei Tasso, in the province of Bergamo, a medieval fairytale village where time seems to stand still in Scanno, in Abruzzo, a rural paradise . Up to Marettimo, in the Egadi, a refuge in all senses . Click here for a map.
