THE SMELL OF THE ITALIAN SEA

Image
"THE SMELL OF THE ITALIAN SEA" An intimate and daily conversation with the sea, walking on its shores.  A physical and spiritual exercise, an education of our sensitivity to the rhythm of the waves.  Those who love the sea want to listen to its voice and see its colors.  But he also wants to touch it, smell it and, sometimes, taste a little salt water.  Going on foot on the shoreline, perhaps barefoot, offers all the pleasures of the sea, especially in autumn, winter or spring, even when whipped by the wind and rain, or in summer at sunrise or sunset in the noisy silence of the waves. LEGENDS OF SIROLO

Image
It is a very suggestive legend that tells the birth of Sirolo: the God who painted and traced the lines of the Adriatic coast, started from the North, towards Trieste and in his descent towards the South as far as the Gargano, he lost a pearl in the sea.  That pearl is precisely Sirolo not surprisingly called the Pearl of the Adriatic. THE BEAM the long scogli del trave, almost a visiting card for Sirolo, is an ancient and rather unusual geological formation because it extends into the sea for almost a kilometer in length.  For much of its extension it emerges from the water and is easily visible so much so that the ancients thought it reached the shores of Croatia crossing the entire Adriatic, almost a bridge then collapsed by human wickedness and the inability to live peacefully. itravelinitaly.com  would like to receive your feedback.  Italy Post a review on our profile. The canals are generally very narrow and often sinuous channels, given their fluvial derivation, and it is for this reason that the shape of Venice has been conditioned in its development from the beginning, and this for construction reasons. @itravelinitaly_com The most romantic bridges in Venice In the city of love par excellence, here is an ideal tour for couples. For couples in the mood for romance Venice is one of the most popular places.  The suggestions that La Serenissima is able to offer are undeniable, from the magnificence of its 5-star Grand Hotels to the small hidden bohemian cafes.  Walking through the narrow streets typical of the lagoon city and admiring the breathtaking views that some of its most important monuments offer are experiences that remain in the heart for a lifetime.  And when it comes to Venice, one cannot but immediately think of its bridges: overcrowded, historical or modern, all romantic.  Ideal location to exchange passionate kisses or perfect corners to take souvenir photos. The most famous are those of the Grand Canal, starting with the oldest, the Rialto Bridge, which already connected the two banks since 1181.  Built using old boats, it was renovated several times after fires, collaps

Gondolas and gondoliers in Venice

gondolas and gondoliers in Venice @itravelinitaly_com The gondola is a very special boat.  It is asymmetrical and can be operated with a single propeller oar.  Measure m.  10.85 in length per m.  1.40 approximately in width.  It weighs 350 kg.  and is made up of about 280 pieces of wood of different nature.  The iron of the prow of the gondolas, called 'fero da pròra' or 'dolfin', serves to balance the weight of the gondolier.  Under the main blade it has a kind of comb formed by six teeth (prongs) which have the precise meaning of remembering the 'sestieri' (= six zones) with which Venice is divided.  A tooth extends backwards (towards the center of the gondola) and indicates the island of Giudecca, separated from the homonymous canal from the other islands of Venice which form a compact nucleus.  Sometimes three friezes are inserted between the six prongs that join the prongs two by two, indicating the three bridges over the Grand Canal: the Scalzi bridge (S

Northern Italy. The northern regions of Italy are full of spectacular mountain landscapes, while other areas, especially on the east coast, are flat at the entrance to the Adriatic Sea.

Southern Italy it is the heat of the sun and the color of the landscapes, Italy in its most ancient form, full of feeling and sensual. Down here, the ruins are older, the longest lunches and the wildest and most intense landscapes.
