Campo dei Frari, 30100 Venezia VE, Italy. Campo dei Frari Venice The camp for me, it stays in Venice, was a pleasant crossroads to cross the long and wide Venice. In fact, if you look at the map, it's right in the middle of Venice. I took many photos, but in particular, what strikes me is the red brick and its thickness combined with the glass of the windows. Campo dei Frari is a field in Venice, located in the San Polo district, between Campo San Tomà and Campo San Stin. The field takes its name from the ancient local presence of the minor orders, called in Venetian Frari. Campo dei Frari is one of the most important and popular camps of the lagoon city, due to the presence of the complex of the Basilica of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, one of the major religious buildings in Venice, containing fundamental Renaissance works, such as two altarpieces by Titian. The camp is L-shaped, occupying the area adjacent to the left side of the church and the one facing its facade. In addition to the mass of the basilica and its bell tower, the only other building in the camp to have particular historical-architectural significance is the Franciscan monastery, the current State Archives of Venice, whose entrance is on the short side to the right of the Frari facade. In the field, there is a well, located on the side closest to the bell tower.
