CAMPO SAN ZULIAN

Image
Calle Specchieri S. Marco, 615, 30124 Venezia VE, Italy. The field takes its name from the church dedicated to San Giuliano here present. The church dates back to the 9th century although the present structure dates back to the 16th century and has a small bell tower about ten meters in the rear. On the wall of the building adjacent to the church, you can admire a high-relief depicting Saint George killing the dragon.  CAMPO SAN ZULIAN Copyright “All rights reserved” © By itravelinitaly.com travelers from Italy Baldassarri Giuseppe Visual Storytelling.

Campofilone and the "Rocca".

Image
Campofilone, The Marches, Italy
Campofilone and the crenelated walls of the fortress "Rocca". 63828 Campofilone, Province of Fermo, Italy. The village, tapering in shape, rises along the main street that is overlooked by the main buildings behind which a labyrinth of alleys opens up, sometimes covered by barrel vaults and cross vaults and which, from time to time, give a glimpse of the beauty of the landscape that surrounds it. ... Porta da Bora: rebuilt in the Renaissance, from the beginning, together with the one called "da Sole", it served as a barrier along the ancient Roman road artery. Porta Marina: obtained by breaking down the tower located in the eastern tip of the old town, it is now the main entrance to the historic center of Campofilone. La Castagna: wall structure with a square plan and a tower shape. In addition to the crenelated walls, Campofilone preserves two polygonal towers located to the east and west of the walled center; the first was transfo…

Campo dei Frari Venice

Image
Campo dei Frari, 30100 Venezia VE, Italy. Campo dei Frari Venice The camp for me, it stays in Venice, was a pleasant crossroads to cross the long and wide Venice. In fact, if you look at the map, it's right in the middle of Venice. I took many photos, but in particular, what strikes me is the red brick and its thickness combined with the glass of the windows. Campo dei Frari is a field in Venice, located in the San Polo district, between Campo San Tomà and Campo San Stin. The field takes its name from the ancient local presence of the minor orders, called in Venetian Frari. Campo dei Frari is one of the most important and popular camps of the lagoon city, due to the presence of the complex of the Basilica of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, one of the major religious buildings in Venice, containing fundamental Renaissance works, such as two altarpieces by Titian. The camp is L-shaped, occupying the area adjacent to the left side of the church and the one facing its facade. In addi…

Promenade of Porto Recanati Riviera del Conero

Image
Porto Recanati, The Marches, Italy. Piazza delle Vele, Viale 29 marzo, Viale della Montecatini, 34, 62017 Porto Recanati MC, Italy. Summer is late in coming, it has not rained almost all winter, so the important thing is that it rains in May, then this summer so much will come, we are ready. That is I am ready, I can't wait to melt in the sea, feel the saltiness and continue to dive into the sea, swim, swim to the point of exhaustion, sunbathe and enjoy the beach until sunset. From here, Porto Recanati in fact, we see the Monte Conero, a promontory on the sea unique for its landscapes, and in summer it is a spectacle. Promenade Porto Recanati The Marches Italy Copyright “All rights reserved” © By itravelinitaly.com travelers from Italy Baldassarri Giuseppe Visual Storytelling.

Campo Santa Margherita Dorsoduro

Image
Campo Santa Margherita, 30100 Venezia VE, Italy Campo Santa Margherita is a field in Venice, located in the Dorsoduro district. The cry of the seagull could be heard perfectly, with the complicity of the other seagulls they demanded fish from the fishmonger lurking with his cart in the Santa Margherita camp, an image of other times, only in Venice without modern noise, a seagull can attract attention The current appearance is due to the interventions of the second half of the nineteenth century decreed by the Austro-Hungarian authorities which led, for hygienic reasons, to the landfill of some rivers. Before 1863 the camp respected the typical pattern of other Venetian merchant fields, bordered to the south by a waterway formed by the Rio della Scoazzera, connected to the San Barnaba stream by the Ca 'Canal river. The camp is known as a traditional meeting place for young people due to its proximity to the IUAV, to Ca 'Foscari and to various colleges. Added to this is the sho…

Lapedona blue and green

Image
Like all the villages of Fermano, Lapedona is also close to the sea, 10 km away from the Adriatic Sea, the village is surrounded by a hill, still preserves the old walls and has 360 degree views, you can see the sea, you can see the neighboring villages and the Monti Sibilini can be seen. Lapedona is among the hilly ridges between the altidona, Moresco and Monterubbiano and precisely Lapedona and Torre di Palme. Lapedona is a medieval hilltop town, located in an area inhabited since ancient times. Through the ancient port Marina, perfectly preserved, with a pointed arch decorated with Ghibelline merlons, you enter the historic center. Under the portico of the sixteenth-century town hall, embellished with different arches, there is a funerary stone from the Roman era, on which there are inscriptions and bas-reliefs. The church of San Nicolò is decorated with a beautiful wooden ceiling and exhibits a painting by Simone de Magistris on the main altar. A neoclassical portal leads into th…

Cà D'oro and postcard Venice

Image
Fondamenta Trapolin, 3932, Sestriere Cannaregio, 30121 Venezia VE, Italy Typical Venetian postcard with a view of the Canale Grande, the gondolas and the Vaporetto stop of the Cà D'oro station. But above all the Palazzo Doro (or Cà D’Oro) in Santa Sofia, not framed in the photo, which gives the none to the area. Ca 'd'Oro is a well-known palace in Venice, located in the Cannaregio district and overlooking the Grand Canal, whose name derives from the fact that originally some parts of the façade were covered with gold, a finish that was part of a complex polychromy, today disappeared, considered one of the greatest examples of Venetian flowery Gothic. Campofilone in the Province of Fermo in the Marche Region, Italy

Image
63828 Campofilone, Province of Fermo, Italy, Campofilone is 2 km from my house, from my balcony I see all of Campofilone, a small village perched on the hill, on the ridge of the hill at the top, very beautiful to see as a view from the balcony, many times I went, for work, to meet friends, but I had never gone to the historical center, inside the walls, a beautiful surprise. I took this photo behind the cathedral or basilica, to get there you need to do a little route, well not even reported. Campofilone is famous all over the world for its maccheroncini of campofilone, a very thin egg-like pasta, a very fine noodle, which absorbs in a fantastic way any combined sauce. Sails bridge on Rio Priuli Venezia

Image
Riello de Santa Sofia,  Rio Priuli, 30100 Venice, Sestière di Cannaregio, Veneto, Italy, Metropolitan City of Venice, Italy Photo taken of the Sails bridge on Rio Priuli or de Santa Sofia, in the Cannaregio district. There were two Priuli palaces along this river, which from the numerous houses scattered throughout the city took the title, as they had it in other sites, streets, bridges, and so on. Coming to Venice from Hungary around the year one thousand, the Priuli was part of the Maggior Consiglio and gave the city illustrious men in arms and politics. Ca ’Priuli-Scarpon was located on the corner of the Rio de San Felice, but in 1739 a violent fire almost completely destroyed it. A second Ca ’Priuli overlooked this river, opposite the other Gothic palace where the Benedetti family lived. Altidona and its landscapes

Image
63824 Altidona, Province of Fermo, Italy, Altidona, The Marches, Italy. Altidona perched on a gentle hill in front of the Adriatic sea invites to beautiful excursions even walking. Its position near the sea, surrounded by low hills, allows you to see many landscapes, from the intense green of the Valdaso to the red of the walls of the nearby villages also perched on the hills, up to see the famous and fascinating blue mountains, the Monti Sibillini. The medieval walls of the castle are well preserved. Also worth seeing is the Belvedere, a medieval lookout tower overlooking the Valle dell'Aso, and the table, attributed to Vincenzo Pagani, depicting the Madonna with Child, two saints and donor kept at the parish church. Villa Montana and the Roman cistern are located in the ancient district of Barbolano. Sestiere Cannaregio Venezia

Image
Cannaregio, 30100 Venice, Metropolitan City of Venice, Italy. The Sestiere Cannaregio, is the district or quarter that I attended most in my stay in Venice, The neighborhood is in the North East of Venice, from the station the main arrival point for those arriving in Venice until you get to Piazza San Marco, crossing it you meet the popular Venice of the students up to the tourist one. The lively Cannaregio district is known for the Jewish ghetto of the sixteenth century. The Strada Nova is a famous local shopping street, while the secondary streets are a destination for lovers of crafts and vintage products. Informal restaurants and bars on the canal flank the nearby Fondamenta Della Misericordia and Fondamenta dei Ormesini, while the sumptuous Ca 'd'Oro palace displays a collection of Renaissance art. Basilica of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari Venezia

Image
Calle del Scaleter, 3072, San Polo, 30125 Venezia VE, Italy. I have most visited in my stays in Venice because it is a crossroads for every direction, but above all, if I walk by, I go to see it or rather admire it. Basilica of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari Venice. In this majestic Gothic church, with the bricks and the very tall bell tower, Titian's glories are celebrated for the marble monument: the Pesaro altarpiece and, on the Altar Maggiore, the Assumption. The two Madonnas are very different in light, colors, and structure of the paintings but they are all of the extraordinary beauty. Beyond Tiziano, there is also the beautiful wooden Choir preceded by a very fine marble enclosure, the mausoleum of Canova, medieval and Renaissance tombs in the apse chapels, a San Giovanni Battista by Donatello and a beautiful Madonna and Saints by Giovanni Bellini. The clock and the Tower of the Church of the Santi Apostoli (Venice) Venezia

Image
Cannaregio, 4465, 30121 Venezia VE, Italy Sestière di San Marco, Veneto, Italy
It is located at the beginning or end of the nova street, it depends on where you start, in a big square and this tower with the clock Sou struck me. The church "dei Santi Apostoli", is a religious building of the city of Venice located in the Cannaregio district. It stands on the field of the same name, at the beginning of the Strada Nova. The legend, narrated, tells that it was erected by Saint Magno, bishop of Oderzo, who in ecstasy saw the twelve apostles who ordered him to build a church dedicated to them at the point where he had found twelve cranes. Italy: the most beautiful country in the world.
Top Rated Tourist Attractions in Italy, 1 Colosseum Rome, 2 Venice Canals, 3 Pompeii, 4 Leaning Tower of Pisa, 5 Lake Como, 6 Amalfi Coast, 7 Florence Duomo Santa Maria del Fiore, 8 Cinque Terre. We are in Italy and we know that we have one of the most visited countries in the world under our feet, a unique country, rich in history, culture, natural resources, and a consolidated artisan and gastronomic tradition. Yes an open-air museum, in every corner, in every street, in every small neighborhood hides a piece of history, tradition, and culture. If you can meet the expectations of tourists they will talk about it with relatives, friends, in blogs, share photos and comments on social media, encouraging you to visit the white beaches of Salento, to take a photo in front of the imposing Colosseum, to watch the view from a high altitude refuge in the Dolomites, to be lulled in the lagoon on a gondola in Venice, to taste a plate of freshly baked lasagna in a typical Emilian inn ... But there is more but much more. The Italian Small towns and Borghi villages that tourists should see, large and small, medieval and baroque, perched on high mountains or along coasts. The most beautiful villages along with the boot - worthy of being seen at least once in a lifetime - for the kitchen, the art, the landscape, the history . From Cornello dei Tasso, in the province of Bergamo, a medieval fairytale village where time seems to stand still in Scanno, in Abruzzo, a rural paradise . Up to Marettimo, in the Egadi, a refuge in all senses . Click here for a map.

Southern Italy it is the heat of the sun and the color of the landscapes, Italy in its most ancient form, full of feeling and sensual. Down here, the ruins are older, the longest lunches and the wildest and most intense landscapes.
